Description

Looking for some motivation to get out of bed early? Try this French Toast recipe for your next breakfast or brunch! The combination of flavors and texture from the different fruits and crunchy cacao nibs will definitely make your taste buds happy.

We love making it since it is simple and healthy and, when it comes to the toppings, there are no rules! So it is a great recipe to try with different fruits that you might have laying around in your kitchen. What more can we ask for?

Method

  1. Mix the eggs, milk, and vanilla together in a bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix your sugar and cinnamon.
  3. Dip your toast into the egg mixture and then coat it with the sugar mixture.
  4. Bring your coated toasts to a pan and cook over medium-heat, making sure to flip them until they are golden on both sides.
  5. Serve them and sprinkle the top with your cacao nibs, berries and a splash of maple syrup (or your favorite toppings)

Author notes

For the bread, we recommend using brioche, it really makes this recipe extra delicious. However, feel free to try with different types of bread.

We like to use coconut sugar but you can sub it for brown or white sugar.

You can use any type of milk you’d like: we used oat milk but feel free to try almond or regular milk.
